NSW: Snow report for Tuesday, August 19, 2003
SYDNEY, Aug 19 AAP - The NSW snow report for today:
THREDBO: Mostly cloudy day with light snowfalls and snowmaking creating 15cm of freshsnow cover overnight. Good top to bottom skiing and boarding expected today, with thebest runs for the advanced found at Exhibition, Crackenback and High Noon. Merrits isgreat for intermediates and Friday Flat for beginners. All lifts expected to operate today.
PERISHER: Dusting of snow overnight, with isolated snow showers expected today. Thefresh, dry snow on a firm base means good skiing and boarding on Happy Valley, Basinski,Zali's and Duplex Slopes. Groomers' picks for the day are Quad Face and Side Saddle. Atotal of 49 lifts open today.
CHARLOTTE PASS VILLAGE: A light dusting of snow overnight. Clearing skies expectedtoday, with the temperature this morning a chilly minus 8 degrees. Groomed runs are onceagain good from the Chair to Guthries, while the Groomers' Pick is the Austrian Pass.
All lifts are expected to operate.
SELWYN: An overcast day expected. Home-made powder covers most runs today but watchout for ice patches. Good conditions for skiers and boarders expected on Township andRacecourse. Up to 11 lifts open today giving 100 per cent access to runs.
